Licenses first issued on or after Oct 1, 2024 are exempt from CE only at their very first renewal. New fingerprint cards are required every 6 years, and documentation must be retained at least 4 years.
Licensure by Endorsement
"Massage Therapist License by Credentials" is available to applicants holding a current, unrestricted license in another state that meets or exceeds Alaska's standards (625 approved-school hours plus a Board-approved competency exam). Verification of licensure must come directly from the other state's licensing entity. The Board maintains a list of states it has already reviewed as meeting or exceeding Alaska's requirements; applicants from unlisted states may request Board review, which can require additional documentation.
